Our Horses
Our horses are our pride, gorgeous Spanish souls who are all very fit, healthy, very well cared for and well schooled. Each horse has a different personality and we always try to match each rider with the right horse. Our horses stand between 14.3 hh and 16 hh with a good appearance and will carry you with confidence and sure footedness through the Andalucian terrain. Our horses are the holiday...
Our Horses
Bandolero
Bandolero is our smallest but of course he has a much bigger personality ;-). When we first got him, his feet needed some urgent attention as his previous owner used to do the shoeing himself. Bandolero is suitable for lighter and smaller riders. He is very brave and is one of the lads in the paddock ;-)... he will always put a smile on your face !
Capitán
Capitán is a young gelding carrying the strong classical features of the Iberian horse. He is proud and noble with good gaits and a very mature head. He is a very quick learner and is enjoying his job. You will be very proud to ride him ;-)
Etala
Etala is a purebred PRE mare, who came to us as her elderly owner could no longer take care of her and was not in a position to start training her. We backed and trained her and she is enjoying her job out on the rides. She is super comfortable to ride and has a lovely enthusiasm running through her ;-) !
Faro
Faro is a tall and mature classical Iberian gelding. He carries himself proudly and you can see the ancient war horse in him ;-) He was trained in the ´"doma vaquera" manner and has a super canter. Faro is a stunning horse !
Gitana
Gitana is a great Spanish mare of solid build who steady and willing. She stands at 16hh and is a gorgeous mare. She has both the looks and temperament of a typical Spanish horse, cuddly and a real showy mare ! One thing : she LOVES to eat, so hide your apple !!
Indira
Indira (Indy)came to us as a 4 year old. She is a gorgeous, well proportioned PRE mare of the great Yeguada de los Hoyos stud. She has all the classical features which make this breed so fabulous. She is learning the job as a lead mare, which she is already doing with gusto, taking it all in her stride and showing us once again the fantastic temperament that makes these horses so trainable.
Letrado
Letrado is a stunning HispanoArab gelding. His father was a full PRE and his mother a HispanoArab. Letrado is keen in his work and never gets tired. This redhead is very forward and goes best with a relaxed and sensitive quiet rider.
Morante
Morante is a Spanish sports horse gelding (CDE). He is a quality horse with beautiful gaits and has a great talent for dressage, although he very much enjoys riding out into the countryside. He is forward going and impeccably behaved :-)
Tio Pepe
A real boy with bags of character and all the charm of a beautiful proud Spanish horse. He grew up in the Malaga mountains and has amazingly tough feet, hard legs and is extremely surefooted. He is fun, forward going and never gives up. Tío Pepe needs an experienced, gentle and sensitive rider. You will be proud to ride him !
Special Note
Our horses are the holiday. We are sure that you will be impressed by the fitness, willingness and lightness of our horses. The Spanish horse has been a favourite for hundreds of years and they won't let you down !
