"... I feel compelled to write and thank you for the truly wonderful riding holiday I had. As I am sure you can understand, taking a 'busman's' holiday whilst working for an equine charity ( manager of ILPH Norfolk centre / World Horse Welfare ) put extra pressure on me to find a good riding holiday where the welfare of the horses was of paramount importance. Your centre excelled on both counts !
You both have a love and passion for horses in general, and Andalucians in particular, which is infectious. To see so many extremely fit, sound, strong and well shod horses was a breath of fresh air. I know how hard it is to get horses looking and feeling like this so you must take a huge amount of credit for presenting your guests with horses of this calibre.

The riding frequently took my breath away. I would just think I had seen the best view in Spain and we would turn a corner and see another equally as stunning. The Andalucian Horse Show had me in tears in 30 seconds ! Beautiful. Your hospitality and attention to detail was exemplary and you made us all feel very welcome and special. It was a privilege to ride such happy, contented and responsive horses. You really do deliver all your web site says, and more. Your riding holiday exceeded all my wildest dreams and I will be one of your many returners. Please keep up the good work !"

"Even though I have just completed my 7th riding holiday with yourselves (which is testimony to your horses and hospitality in itself!), I just want to thank you both so much for making my various friends so very welcome.
Over the past 6 years I have brought along five different friends and recommended at least another four to visit you. Each and every one has been wowed by your horses, the riding and your hospitality. As you know, several have already returned without me! I always feel totally confident that any one I recommend to visit you will have an amazing time and this has always been the case.
I don't know how you manage to keep your horses so happy, responsive, sound and well in what is a tough line of work for horses at the best of times. Testimony to your great depth of knowledge, love and understanding of horses I feel...........
As always, I am fitter and riding better as a result of my holiday with you last week. It is so nice to be reminded how light and surefooted a horse can be......

via Facebook "the horses are beautiful, well mannered, happy and a joy to ride, the hacks are varied through beautiful coutryside and rivers! the accomodation is great, you can have your privacy if you want, food is lovely and communal dining is such good fun. the place is lovely and non riders (my husband and various other halves) have plenty to do and enjoy themselves just as much as the riders. lastly Miranda and Giles, the owners and hosts are wonderful and their love and care for and huge enjoyment of their horses, business and guests make for a very happy experience."
Via Google in German: "Ein unvergesslich schöner Urlaub, Als pferdeverückte Familie mit 12 Jähriger Tochter wollten wir hier bei Giles und Miranda in Andalusien die Ferien verbringen. Vorweg, unsere Erwartungen wurden bei weitem übertroffen. Miranda das Sprachtalent spricht fließend spanisch, deutsch, holländisch und englisch. Wir wurden also von Giles und Miranda sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen und zu unserer Unterkunft geführt. Das erste große Staunen. Ein großes geräumiges Apartment mit klimatisierten Wohn- und Schlafzimmern erwartete uns. Der Eingang mit großen gewölbeartigen Rundbögen fast die schönen Fenster ein. Ein großer rustikaler Esstisch mit entsprechenden Stühlen unterstreicht die dunkle Holzbalkendecke und erweckt den Anschein eines englischen Flairs. Spanische verspielte Akzente finden sich in der Fließengestaltung wieder. Insgesamt wirkt die gesamte Inneneinrichtung sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig. Einfach nur toll! Eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit großem Kochfeld, Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine und Geschirrspüler, Mikrowelle etc. lässt auch Selbstversorgern keine Wünsche offen. Die gesamte Anlage mit Pool, Aufenthaltsbereich und Pferdeställen sind in sehr gepflegten Zustand und laden einfach nur zur sofortigen Entspannung ein. Dann der erste Ausritt! … endlich Pferde. Die Pferde befinden sich alle ....

continued reading: German: ......in sehr gepflegten Zustand, haben schöne saubere Koppeln, sind gut genährt und das wichtigste, sie sind umgänglich und brav. Aus dem Stall ging es zunächst durch dörfliches Gebiet und gab uns einen Eindruck wie die Andalusier hier ihr Leben gestalten. Giles war für alle Fragen offen und führte uns Richtung Berge. Unglaublich trittsicher gehen die Pferde durch Flüsse, Täler, die Berge hinauf und wieder hinunter. Keine Motorengeräusche, keine Eisenbahn nicht einmal Flugzeuge! Die Vielfalt der Eindrücke lassen uns mit der wunderschönen Natur und den Pferden verschmelzen. Es gibt doch nichts Schöneres, als das andalusische Hochland auf diesen fantastischen kraftvollen und doch leichtrittigen Andalusiern zu erkunden. Etwas reiten sollte man aber schon können. :-) Nach den Ausritten wurden die Pferde versorgt und wir konnten spanische Leckereien genießen. Dabei ein großes Lob an Giles, Miranda und die Servicekraft. Die Küche war immer ausgezeichnet, ausreichend und lecker. Eine Mischung zwischen gastfreundschaftlicher Diskretion bis zum freundschaftlichen Miteinander beim Wein bescherte uns einen unvergesslich schönen Urlaub. An den Tagen an denen nicht geritten wurde, haben wir die andalusischen Küstenstädte erkundet. Malaga, Benalmadena oder Marbella sind leicht mit dem Auto innerhalb einer Stunde zu erreichen. in English: "An unforgettable holiday, As a horse-crazy family with 12-year-old daughter, we wanted to spend the holidays here with Giles and Miranda in Andalusia. First of all, our expectations were exceeded by far. Miranda the language talent speaks fluent spanish, german, dutch and english. We were greeted by Giles and Miranda very friendly and guided to our accommodation. The first big wonder. A large spacious apartment with air-conditioned living and bedrooms awaited us. The entrance with large vaulted arches almost the beautiful windows. A large rustic dining table with matching chairs underlines the dark wood beam ceiling and gives the appearance of an English flair. Spanish playful accents can be found in the flow design again. Overall, the entire interior looks very tasteful and high quality. Just great! A fully equipped kitchen with large hob, fridge, coffee maker and dishwasher, microwave, etc. leaves nothing to be desired even for self-catering. The entire complex with pool, lounge and horse stables are in very good condition and invite just for immediate relaxation. Then the first ride! ... finally horses. The horses are all in very good condition, have nice clean paddocks, are well fed and the most important, they are sociable and good. From the stable, we first went through the village area and gave us an impression of how the Andalusians are shaping their lives here. Giles was open to all questions and guided us towards the mountains. Incredibly sure-footed, the horses walk through rivers, valleys, up the mountains and down again. No engine noise, no railroad not even planes! The variety of impressions let us merge with the beautiful nature and the horses. There is nothing better than exploring the Andalusian highlands on these fantastic powerful and yet easy-to-ride Andalusians. But you should be able to ride a horse. :-) After the rides the horses were taken care of and we could enjoy spanish delicacies. A big compliment to Giles, Miranda and the service staff. The kitchen was always excellent, adequate and delicious. A mixture between hospitable discretion and friendly cooperation with the wine gave us an unforgettable holiday. On the days when we did not ride, we explored the Andalusian coastal towns. Malaga, Benalmadena or Marbella are easily reached by car within an hour. Thank you for an unforgettable time. Horses are loved, respected and so fit and healthy. Accommodation is beautiful, and to a very high standard. The pool, garden and terrace are an absolute oasis. Food and drink is so good, and plenty of it. Giles and Miranda are such wonderful people that you feel like part of the family before you even arrive. via Google "We have just had a wonderful fourth holiday at Horse Riding Spain and we keep going back because it’s just an amazing place. The horses give a high quality responsive ride and groups are small and well-led. The countryside and terrains you ride in are varied so every day feels different however many times you go. The accommodation is good, the setting wonderful and the food excellent and home cooked. Giles and Miranda are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. All in all the perfect holiday."
via Google "I have just returned from my third outstanding riding holiday with Giles and Miranda in Coin, Andalusia. As on previous holidays with them they proved to be the most fantastic host making all their guest feel instantly relaxed and at home. Their beautiful ranch is set in the most tranquil location with the stunning background of birds singing. The most important part of the holiday is of course the riding experience which is superb and next to none. This year I rode the beautiful Gitana who has her own Spanish Mare personality. She was an absolute joy to ride. Previously I have ridden Tormento and Lucy who are also both wonderful. Each horse on Giles and Miranda's ranch are individual and there's bound to be one to suit you. The welfare of the horses is always at the forefront of Giles and Miranda's minds. The rides each day are all in different locations in the stunning Andalusian country side, with plenty of cantering and gallops to keep all happy. The cuisine is all home made - using locally grown produce and genuine Spanish fare. -all absolutely delicious. One again, if you have any allergies or dislikes Miranda will bend over backwards to accommodate you. The ranch is stunning and if you are thinking about a riding holiday in Spain I would highly recommend this one. I have booked for 2 more trips next year !!"

Majoitus oli todella tasokas ja piha ja allasalue juuri niin viehättävät, kuin miltä ne kuvissa näyttävät. Hevoset ovat upeita ja hyvin koulutettuja. Ratsastusretket suuntautuivat joka päivä eri reiteille, missä polut ja kukkulat tarjosivat upeita laukkasuoria ja välillä kahlattiin vilvoittavassa vedessäkin. Altaalla oli miellyttävä siestailla iltapäivisin ratsastuksen jälkeen. Kaiken kaikkiaan hieno kokemus ihan ensimmäisestä tiedustelusähköpostistani alkaen, toivottavasti näemme pian uudestaan!"

in English: "I spent a wonderful week with Miranda and Giles. Coin is beautiful in May - with its spring flowering and daytime temperatures that do not rise to the level of summer yet. The accommodation was really high quality and the courtyard and pool area just as quaint as they look in the pictures. The horses are really great and well-trained, the rides went out every day and each time a different route, riding along tracks and over hill sides offered gorgeous views and we even waded through the cooler water of the rivers. There was lunch in the afternoons after riding.. All in all, a wonderful experience from my first e-mail onwards, hopefully I can be back again soon!

En het zwembad na de ochten ritten is een heerlijke verkoeling. De paarden zijn mooi en ontzettend lief. De ritten zijn afwisselend door de prachtige natuur. Via Tripadvisor in Dutch: "Ik kan niet anders zeggen dan dat Giles en Miranda een super plek hebben opgezet in Coin. Het was aan één stuk door genieten en ik voelde me meteen thuis!! De paardrijtochten waren fantastisch. Hoe leuk is het om de prachtige omgeving te bewonderen per paard. De tochten zijn wel voor de ervaren ruiter, je gaat heuvel op en af en doorkruist meerdere rivieren. Giles en Miranda doen hun best om jou te koppelen aan het paard dat het beste bij je past. Ik had het geluk om op Savannah te mogen rijden. Een paard met pit dat past bij de rustige en gevoelige ruiter. We hadden meteen een klik. De accommodatie is daarnaast super mooi, waaronder een prachtig zwembad en schone kamers. Het eten en de verschillende tapas die je elke dag krijgt voorgezet zijn erg lekker. Ik kan deze paardrijvakantie iedereen aanraden. Dus niet langer twijfelen, maar gewoon gaan! Ik ga in ieder geval zeker terug."

in English: "I can only say that Giles and Miranda have set up a super place in Coin. It was continuous enjoyment and I immediately felt at home !! The horseback rides were fantastic. It is sooo nice to admire the beautiful surroundings from horseback. The tours are for the experienced rider, you go up and down hill sides and cross several rivers. Giles and Miranda do their best to link you to the horse that best suits you. I was lucky enough to be able to ride Savannah. A horse with a bit of spunk that fits a calm and sensitive rider. We immediately had a click. The accommodation is also super nice, including a beautiful pool and clean rooms. The food and different tapas that you get every day are very tasty. I can recommend this horseback holiday to everyone. So don´t hesitate any longer, but just go! I for one, will definitely go back."

Die beiden bewerkstelligen es, viele verschiedene Bereiche unter einen Hut zu bringen: - Die alte ehemalige Mühle wurde von ihnen stilvoll hergerichtet und gleichzeitig auf heutigen Standard gebracht. - Unterbringung, Essen und Ambiente sind wunderbar (schöne Zimmer mit Heizung bzw. AC, herrliches Schwimmbad, gemütliche "Palmenecke", schöne Terrasse) - Die Pferde sind gut gehalten und für jenden Reitanspruch etwas dabei! Die beiden suchen verlässlich das "richtige" Pferd für den/die "richtige/n" Reiter/in aus. - Die Gegend ist einfach einzigartig! Ich hatte wenig Vorstellung von Andalusien und die Vielfältigkeit der Landschaft hat mich überracht (Flüsse, saftige Uferlandschaften, Hügel und Berge, Blumenwiesen und Olivenhaine, schmale steile Pfade und weite Ausblicke). - Das Areal ist in einer Grünoase sehr ruhig gelegen. Trotzdem ist der Ort Coín in 5 Minuten fußläufig erreichbar, der alles für den täglichen Gebrauch bietet sowie nette Plätze mit Restaurants und Bars. Hervorheben möchte ich die freundliche und unkomplizierte Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich rundum betreut und willkommen! Miranda, ich komme wieder!!"

in English: "I have just returned from 3 weeks riding with Miranda and Giles and will share my best memories with my friends. The two of them manage to combine many different qualities into one package: - The old former mill has been stylishly renovated by them and at the same time brought to modern day standard. - Accommodation, food and ambience are wonderful (nice rooms with heating or AC, lovely swimming pool, cozy "palm corner", beautiful terrace) - The horses are well kept and there is something for everyone! You can trust the two of them to select the "right" horse for the "right" rider. - The area is just unique! I had little idea of Andalusia and the diversity of the landscape has won me over (rivers, lush riversides, hills and mountains, flower meadows and olive groves, narrow steep paths and wide views). - The ranch is located in a green oasis and is very quiet. Nevertheless, the town of Coín is within only 5 min. walking distance, which offers everything for daily use as well as nice places with restaurants and bars. I would like to emphasize the friendly and uncomplicated atmosphere. You will feel completely cared for and welcome! Miranda, I'll be back !!"

via Tripadvisor "I have just returned from a second wonderful stay with Giles & Miranda. There was plenty of winter sun which meant gorgeous, clear mornings of riding and eating lunch outside before retreating next to the cosiness of the log fire in the cooler evenings. The landscape was lush & green given the lower temperatures compared with my previous visit & the horses were fresh too. I was fortunate to be able to ride the fabulous Sirocco again, as well as Tormenta who is a fantastic mare who gives her all, is incredibly comfortable & loves a splash in the rivers! I had such a warm welcome back from Giles & Miranda - I immediately felt back at ease & had a big smile on my face the whole week - their hospitality really is second to none & you can simply relax without a care in the world. The food was plentiful & delicious, the accommodation once again clean & comfortable. Can’t wait to return back again soon!"

Their horses are all very well cared for & the riding is super-relaxed & enjoyable. I also picked up some useful tips on classical riding which I hope will benefit my own horse's way of going. Over the years I've had several riding holidays both in UK & abroad & this is the best by a country mile. But don't just take my word for it: over 25% of guests are returners. My husband doesn't ride but he enjoyed his week in Coin with Giles & Miranda just as much as I did."
